HGA RECREATIONAL PROGRAM NEWSLETTER
Feburary 2012 Welcome ! Welcome new members, and welcome back returning members. We can't wait to start a new session of gymnastics. We are going to have a lot of fun this session learning gymnastics and meeting new friends. Watch for our monthly newsletter to keep you posted on up coming events. Hallway Coat Area Everyone has been doing a great job at helping us cut down on congestion by using our coat area in the hallway. Please remember to put wet boots on the mats in the hallway and coat room. Please note: Our floors get VERY slippery when wet. Please walk on the carpeted area. Family Day Don't forget that Monday February 20th is Family Day. There are no scheduled classes that day. "I Love Gymnastics Week" Facebook Contest I Love Gymnastics week is back! We will be celebrating our love of this fantastic sport from Monday February 13th to Sunday February 19th. If you have not done it already, just "Like" us on Facebook and post the comment "I love the Hamilton Gymnastic Academy" for a chance to win a free recreational session of gymnastics. We will also have a Bodysuit Sale during "I love Gymnastics" week. Reader's Choice Voting Don't forget to vote for the Hamilton Gymnastic Academy in the Hamilton Community News Reader's Choice. We have been nominated under Entertainment for best- Gymnastics, Children's Birthday Parties and Summer Camp. Voting begins February 16th and runs to February 26th. Go to www.hamiltonnews.com and vote for us. Don't forget our friends next door at Evolution Martial Arts for best Martial Arts. March Break Camp March Break Camp runs Monday March 12th to Friday March 16th. We have Half Day Kinder Camp for ages 4 &5, and Full Day Camp for ages 6 & up. Full Day Campers will enjoy a trip to Burlington's Cedar Springs Health Racquet & Sportsclub on Wednesday March 14th, as well as a trip next door on Friday March 16th to EMA for a self defense class. Sign up at the Front Desk. Fundraising: Bodysuit Sale "One by One" will be coming back during "I love Gymnastics" week. They will be selling their beautiful suits on Wednesday February 25th, Saturday February 28th and Sunday February 29th. Chocolate Bar Sales The Hamilton Gymnastic Academy is a non-profit organization. A few times each year we ask our members to support our various fundraising activities. This Session we will be doing Chocolate Bar Sales!!! Just in time for Easter. We ask each family to try and sell one case. Every year we try and raise money to purchase new equipment for the gym! COACHES CORNER Coach of the Month Congratulations to Emily Chan this months Coach of the Month. Emily has been an advanced recreational gymnast here for a number of years and coach for the past two years. Emily is very busy between going to high school, doing competitive cheerleading, doing gymnastics and coaching! She is such a great role model. Emily has a pleasant personality and all the kids love her, and her younger team mates look up to her. Great work Emily! C.I.T. of the Month Congratulations to Megan Watson this months CIT of the month. Megan did competitive gymnastics with us for a number of years and has since moved on to becoming a CIT this year. Megan is outgoing and energetic. She has great class control while keeping it fun for everyone. Way to go Megan!
