 HGA RECREATIONAL PROGRAM NEWSLETTER November 2011 Daylight Saving Reminder: Sunday Nov. 5, 2011 Just a reminder for those taking Sunday classes. The clocks go back one hour (Fall Back) on Saturday Night before you go to bed. Hamilton Gymnastic Academy 30th Anniversary Reunion: Calling all past and present gymnasts. We will be having an open house reunion party here at the gym on Sunday November 13th at 2:00pm It will be a great get together to celebrate 30 years of the Hamilton Gymnastic Academy. Fundraising: Lamontagne Chocolicious Orders  Thank you to everyone who participated in our Chocolocious/ Collections Lamontagne Fundraiser. The winners will be announced soon. Boston Pizza Night Wednesday November 23rd, 5:00pm Come out to the Boston Pizza at 1219 Barton Street East. Eat some pizza and help us raise money for our Outreach Program. You can also buy a raffle ticket to win 3 great prizes; A Makita Circular Saw valued at $125.00 donated by Home Depot, A Lamontagne gift basket, and a Starburst Dancewear gift certificate. Poinsettia Orders  Once again we are offering our members the opportunity to order gorgeous Poinsettias for the upcoming holiday season. These plants are supplied by Vos Floral Ltd. and they are of the highest quality. You can get your order forms at the front desk. All orders must be received no later than Sunday November 27th. Plants will be available at the Gym for pick up Monday December 5th. These are a great fundraiser so don’t forget to get your family, friends and employers to order some!  Saturday December 17th 8:30am-1:00pm, come to the gym and have Breakfast with Santa! Come visit with Santa (bring your camera to take your own pictures with Santa). There will be three breakfast sittings so book your spot at the front desk now! Face Painting Available for $1 or a food bank item for children who have already completed their gymnastics for the day! Bodysuit Sale: Thanks to “One by One” for selling their lovely bodysuits here. The sale was a great success with some of the proceeds coming back to the gym. Remember “One by One” will be back Wednesday December 14th, Saturday December 17th, and Sunday December 18th. Just in time for Christmas! We will also have an extra treat on those days as we will have some demonstrations bysome of our competitive gymnasts! Contests: Halloween Costume Contest: Hey kids, since you can’t wear your costume to gym doesn’t mean we can’t have a costume contest. Simply take a picture of your self all dressed up on Halloween, put your name and age and phone number on the back. Pictures will be hung up in the hall the week after Halloween and prizes will be handed out to the winners! More details to follow. Win a Body Suit Contest: The winner of the bodysuit raffle will be posted in the front lobby. Coaches Corner: Coach of the Month Congratulations to Locksley MacLean this months Coach of the Month. Locksley was a competitive gymnast with us when she was a little girl, and has been a coach with us for the past 5 years. Locksley has really matured as a coach this past year and has taken on a supervisory role, as well as helping out at the front desk. As a coach, Locksley is approachable and is able to teach to a higher skill level. Way to go Locksley. C.I.T. of the Month Congratulations to Tia Fuller this months Coach in Training of the month. Tia has been a recreational gymnast with us for a number of years and she recently completed her Coach in Traing camp with us this past summer. Tia is mature beyond her years. She can take over a group at a moments notice and never stumble. She is full of energy and always has a smile on her face. Way to go Tia. .
